Let Me Introduce Myself: Living with Hashimoto | Hashimoto Coach

Miss Kriss

Kris shares her life with Hashimoto's since 2017, from fatigue and brain fog to her search for a better understanding of her body and hormones.

I have been living with a Hashimoto's diagnosis since 2017, though my symptoms started years before that. They were those vague, hard-to-pinpoint symptoms: fatigue that never truly went away, brain fog that made me feel like I was losing myself at times, mood swings, muscle aches, trouble concentrating, and a body that just wouldn't do what I was used to. Only later did I understand that all of this could be linked to a hormonal imbalance caused by Hashimoto's—something that creeps in slowly and almost invisibly for so many of us.

After my diagnosis, the real search actually began. I had to figure out for myself what hormones do to your energy, your thoughts, and even your emotions. You see, thyroid hormones affect your brain, your neurotransmitters, your mood, and even how you handle stress. That's when I finally understood why I struggled with regulating my emotions, why my thoughts felt sluggish, and why I sometimes just felt completely 'switched off'.

It often felt like I had to do it all alone. Doctors mostly looked at blood values, but my daily struggles—fatigue, brain fog, physical aches, fluctuating emotions—didn't always fit neatly into those numbers. So, I started doing my own research. What does nutrition do? What does stress do? Why does my body react so strongly to the smallest things? Step by step, I learned to listen to my body, and I found ways to regain my balance.

This app was born out of that years-long journey. Because no one should have to do this alone.
